Thomson is worth showing up for.

I decided to run for Thomson Town Board Supervisor because I believe our community deserves thoughtful, practical leadership that looks beyond the next meeting and plans for the future.Thomson has already done important work to envision where our community is headed. I want to help build on that work by listening to residents, asking good questions, planning ahead, and making careful decisions about our shared resources.I'm not running to reinvent Thomson. I'm running to help prepare it for what's next.

Invest in Infrastructure

Plan for what Thomson needs before it becomes a crisis.
 

Roads, drainage, sewer, broadband, parks, and other public infrastructure don't happen overnight. They require planning, prioritization, and responsible investment.
 

Maintain What We Have

Take care of existing roads, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure before problems become more expensive.
 

Plan Ahead

Coordinate infrastructure investments with expected growth and development.
 

Building Partnerships

Work with Carlton County, the state, neighboring communities, and other partners to pursue projects and outside funding.
 

Fix problems before they become emergencies, and plan investments before we're forced into them.

Make local government easier to understand and participate in.
 

Residents shouldn't have to be experts in township government to understand what's happening in their community or how decisions are made.
 

Clear Communication

Make information about meetings, projects, development proposals, and township decisions easier to find and understand.
 

Meaningful Participation

Give residents opportunities to be heard before important decisions are made, not simply after the fact.
 

Accountability

Track progress toward township goals and be willing to explain when decisions change course.
 

Residents shouldn't have to know the right person to ask to understand their own government.

Fiscal Responsibility

Be thoughtful with residents' money.
 

Fiscal responsibility means more than keeping taxes low. It means understanding what the township needs, planning for major expenses, considering the long-term cost of decisions, and making the best use of available resources.
 

Prioritize

Focus limited resources on projects and services that provide the greatest need and long-term benefit.
 

Prepare

Use budgeting and capital planning to anticipate major expenses rather than waiting for emergencies.
 

Use Every Resource

Pursue grants, partnerships, and other funding opportunities when they make sense for the community.
 

We should know what we're buying, why we need it, and how we're going to pay for it.

Practicality

My background in project management, business analysis, engineering, and operations has taught me to break down complex problems, understand the details, and find practical paths forward.

Planning

I think beyond the immediate decision. Good planning means understanding priorities, anticipating future needs, and considering how today's choices affect Thomson years from now.

Collaboration

I've worked with different perspectives, priorities, and areas of expertise. I believe the best solutions come from listening first, asking good questions, and focusing around a common goal.

Follow-Through

I'm someone who turns ideas into action. I bring experience organizing projects, building processes, managing competing priorities, and making sure the work gets done.

I'm Also a Neighbor

I don't just want to serve Thomson. I live here, too.I'm invested in Thomson because this is my community. I care about the roads, neighborhoods, natural spaces, local businesses, and the people who make Thomson what it is.I want to be the kind of Town Board Supervisor who is approachable, listens before making decisions, asks questions when something doesn't make sense, and follows through on the work residents have entrusted me to do.
